臺(tái)灣黑熊目前現(xiàn)存族群數(shù)量不多，出沒(méi)於臺(tái)灣中央山脈是臺(tái)灣特有的亞洲黑熊亞種，胸前有V字型斑紋是它的特徵。
我會(huì)創(chuàng)作這隻黑熊是因?yàn)榘l(fā)生在臺(tái)灣真實(shí)的黑熊事件。臺(tái)北市立動(dòng)物園裡有一隻名叫「小三」的母臺(tái)灣黑熊。因?yàn)楸徊东F夾給夾斷了右前腳，只剩三隻腳所以被取名為「小三」。這隻可憐的黑熊之後借給了高雄的壽山動(dòng)物園，竟然於2013年的12月在高雄壽山動(dòng)物園內(nèi)當(dāng)著群眾面前被另一隻黑熊咬死。高雄壽山動(dòng)物園隱瞞這個(gè)不幸消息，直到一個(gè)月後才對(duì)外發(fā)布這個(gè)悲劇。這個(gè)新聞讓我很難過(guò)，所以我設(shè)計(jì)了這隻黑熊，以紀(jì)念這不幸的事件。
