A boiler is a closed vessel in which water, or any other fluid is heated to generate steam or vapor. The steam generated is utilized for industrial as well as domestic purposes. Based on the boiler axis position, there are two types of boile: horizontal and vertical. A horizontal boiler has its shell axis positioned horizontally, while a vertical boiler has its shell axis positioned vertically.
