this project is to design, both electrically and manually operated heavy duty car gearbox holding stand(jack). The components and parts associated in the design were determined through design analysis and calculatio from which specification of dimeio and sizes. The basic components are link, supporting plate, wheel and square hollow section bar and span. The primary purpose of this design project is to design the gearbox stand of stand of dawoo heavy duty car. This project contai introduction of the gearbox stand, problem statement, and design, methodology, maintenance and force analysis of the engine stand, assembling process and the cost of the engine stand. The gearbox stands hold the maximum 300kg and it have adjustable height from the level of floor.
